The overall weather forecast for the week of the duration of our stay in Nagoya is generally rainy and some days would have thunderstorms.
I was still hopeful that it won’t rain so much.
Noritake Garden

After our breakfast and coffee run at Doutor Coffee, we went to Noritake Garden. You don’t need to pay an entrance fee to go there. This is what I like about Japan. There are a lot of places you can go where you do not need to pay anything. You just either walk or just pay for public transportation.
We were able to take some pictures and have some group photos taken before it rained.

The Noritake Garden is a beautiful garden. We were not able to go around that much because of the rain but we are able to go around the Fountain Plaza and the Babbling Brook. Was able to see also The Six Chimneys when we headed out of Aeon Mall. This is said to be the site of the tunnel kiln for pottery baking.

Aeon Mall

We then headed to Aeon Mall. This is just next to Noritake Garden. We went there to visit Tsutaya bookstore. This bookstore is indeed Instagrammable. While I was searching about Nagoya before our trip, my Instagram and Tiktok feed were filled either videos and pictures of people in front a huge bookshelf going up or down the stairs.

They have a great selection of pens and stationery there. If you are into calligraphy or you’re just into different kinds of pens, you would definitely enjoy shopping in Tsutaya Bookstore.
We also got some free Super Dry Asahi Beer. We’re lucky that they have a popup event where you just need to line up and get a free can of beer.

You can also buy stuff in the mall to take home for your family and friends. You can get some skincare products in a pharmacy store there. And if you experience runny nose a lot, you have to buy there a Nasal spray.

While going around the mall, we came across an arcade where you can play video games or shoot some hoops. I was able to play a round of basketball in the arcade.
We also saw some vending machines with Gashapon. Too bad I was not able to get some. Maybe I’d do that in my next Japan visit.

We had our lunch at a food court there. There are a lot of choices. I opted to get food from Gaburi Chicken. It’s a homegrown brand in Nagoya and a popular izakaya chain in Japan.

I got some fried chicken with nanban sauce, shredded cabbage, rice and miso soup.
There are indeed a lot of things that you can do here in Aeon Mall. However, since we wanted to maximize our Nagoya trip, we did not spend the rest of our day there even if we can.
