Chasing Waterfalls in Negros Oriental

It’s a Good Friday and the tour for Siquijor can’t be done because of the schedule of the ferry rides. I appreciate the tour guide for offering options in place of Siquijor. I was made to choose between the Countryside tour and the Apo Island tour. I was not prepared to go snorkeling and I haven’t brought any swimsuit for the trip. Hence, the Countryside tour was the obvious choice.

One of the destinations of the Valencia Countryside tour is the Pulangbato falls (The Red Waterfalls of Valencia). I was in awe upon seeing it. I’ve seen photos of it before this trip but it was more beautiful up close.

In order to get closer to the waterfalls, one has to cross the short hanging bridge and go down. It was literally a short distance and it’s not physically challenging at all.

This is just one of the times that I thought that I should have brought a tripod with me and a filter so I can take photos of the waterfalls at a longer exposure to capture its movement.

Also, it would have been fun to take a dip and swim in the pool.

While there are a lot of other waterfalls in Negros Oriental, this is probably the easiest one to go to.

What’s next on the list? Probably Casaroro falls, and Malmag falls in Negros Oriental and also the falls in Siquijor.
